Adiyogam Yoga Teacher Training Course Requirements for Participation
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Age: Participants must be at least 18 years old.
2. Health: Participants should be in good health and have no significant medical issues that would prevent them from safely engaging in yoga practice.
3. Experience: While prior yoga experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory. However, a commitment to learning and personal growth is essential.
4. Language: The course is conducted in English, so participants must have a basic understanding of English.
5. Application: A completed application form and a brief personal statement detailing your yoga journey and reasons for joining the TTC.
6. Interview: A brief interview (in person or via video call) may be required to assess suitability for the program.
Payments
- Adiyogam School cannot guarantee a place on a Teacher Training Course training until the agreed deposit has been received. Upon receipt of the deposit, the trainee will be fully enrolled in their selected course.
- Adiyogam School has full discretion to offer discounts and concessions at any time. This does not automatically entitle other trainees to the same discounts and concessions.
- Payment for the course should be made according to the payment schedule agreed on enrolment.
- Trainees are not permitted to transfer their enrolment to another person.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Upon acceptance into the program, the applicant must pay a deposit of 10% to hold applicant’s place in the program and remaining must be paid before starting 01 week of the programme or before starting of the program.
The program fees are non-refundable. If a student must withdraw from the program for special circumstances, the program may give a partial refund to the student in the exercise of its discretion:
- If applicant cancels (60) days or more before the start of the program, the applicant will forfeit 10,000 of the deposit and the remaining balance will be refunded.
- If applicant cancels (30-60) days before the start of the program: 50% refund minus the deposit.
- If applicant cancels (7-30) days before the start of the program 25% refund minus the deposit.
- Adiyogam school will not give any refunds or credits before one week and after the training starts.
- The program reserves the right to cancel any training before it begins. In that case any payments applicants have made will be refunded in full.
The Adiyogam School is not liable for any expenses the student may have occurred including the travel expenses (e.g. flight and train tickets) even in case of a Training cancellation either by the participant or Adiyogam School.
Payment of fee implies consent to all the information, rules, regulations, terms and conditions of Adiyogam School.
The student is free to leave the course at any time. In this eventuality there will not be any refund, readmission and certificate will not be agreed.
If you fall sick due to Covid or if the course has to be stopped due to covid restrictions or any similar reasons the school may consider transferring your pro-rata balance course fee to any future course of School choice. The ultimate decision lies with Adiyogam school.
Adiyogam school reserves the right to make minor amendments in the course content, teachers or accommodation if needed and the same cannot be used by student to ask for a refund.
Code of Conduct (onsite 200 HR Teacher Training )
Missing Training Hours:
Each student can miss 8 hours, or one weekend, of the 200 hour yoga training program. These missed hours must be rescheduled, included in the cost of the program. If more than one weekend of training is missed, the student must schedule make-up sessions at a rate of $50 per hour to graduate from the program. Students must contact the program director or lead trainer before the weekend which they will be missing.
Tardiness:
Any student who is late for class by more than 5 minutes will be docked an hour from their training hours and need to make up at the rate of $50 per hour.
Withdrawal Policy:
- If a student wishes to withdrawal from our program for any reason, they must first contact the program director to discuss their reasons for withdrawal. Refunds will be given in accordance with the program’s refund policy.
- No refunds will be given if the program removes a student from the program for bad conduct. Bad conduct is violation of the Code of Conduct, gossip, harassment, bullying, or any other behaviour that is inappropriate or disruptive to the welfare of the program or to fellow students.
Termination from Program:
The program may decide to terminate any student’s participation in the program if:
(1) false information was used in the admission process that materially affects the program;
(2) a student missed more than 10% of any subject category;
(3) a student is absent for more than 2 consecutive days without contacting the program director;
(4) the student fails to make timely payments of tuition; or
(5) the student is unable to pass a test after being given 3 attempts.
If the School decides to end the student’s participation in the program, the student is not entitled to any prior payments or fees. All prior payments and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Injury or illness prior to or during the training:
- By partaking in trainings, workshops, retreats or classes, trainees retain control and direction over all their physical activities and voluntarily assume full liability and accept the risk of harm, including physical injury and discomfort as a result of my participation in activities during the programme.
- Adiyogam School accepts no liability for any injury or illnesses that occur to trainees during the trainings, workshops, retreats or classes.
- The nature of a yoga teacher training, retreats, workshops and classes includes a certain level of interpersonal physical contact. By participating in this yoga events trainees voluntarily agree to this contact and understand its professional nature.
Dress Code
- Students/participants are required to be decently and appropriately dressed in the premises of Adiyogam School. Tight body-hugging clothes, short tops, shorts, revealing clothes, tank tops, low cut shirts, short T-shirts, etc. are strictly prohibited inside the premises. Ideally, the dress code of students/participants are expected to be attired in trousers, track pants, sleeved T-shirts, shirts, salwar kameez, kurta pyjama.
- In case any student/participant is inappropriately dressed, The Adiyogam School reserves its right to prohibit entry of such students/participants in its premises. The decision of the School in such case shall be final and binding on the students/participants.
Meals
- During your training, you will be provided pranic and delicious sattvic food.
- The menu consists of simple yet best vegetarian meals and is not up for discussion or exceptions (unless having allergies: please let us know in advance).
- Yogic lifestyle is not demanding of a high-protein diet. Enough protein is supplied by lentils and vegetables in our meals.
- If you need to supplement your diet with extra foods, you may purchase nuts, vitamins, etc from local shops at your own expense. We ask that you do not eat unhealthy/non-vegetarian foods.
- Apart from the food served at the School, no outside food is allowed to be brought in the premises, except dry/fresh fruits.
- Food shall be consumed in the designated dining area only.
- Maintain silence while having food. Eat food mindfully which will helps to absorb food with ease.
- Please avoid outside foods, for reasons of cleanliness and not knowing what type of energy the chef cooked with especially until your course of time with Adiyogam.
Evaluation And Certification
- Your admission to this course does not guarantee a certificate. You will be evaluated by your teaching practicums, behaviour, progress, and full attendance.
- You will be given maximum of 3 attempts to pass if not you need to come back next time within 6-12 months to pass the exam and get the certificate or else it will be declined.
General Health Condition
- Any health-related advice and suggestions given at Adiyogam School should not be used for diagnosing purposes or be substituted for medical advice.
- Always consult your doctor or qualified health professional on any matters regarding your health. Consult your physician before changing your diet, starting an exercise (yoga) program.
- It is the sole responsibility of the students/participants to consult a physician prior to and regarding their participation in the programmes offered by Adiyogam School.
- Students/participants are responsible for their own well-being during the class and are advised to practice at their own pace, understanding their limitations. Students/participants are required to inform their teacher if there have been any changes in their medical / health condition which might affect their participation.
Course Material
- Students/participants may be given handouts, notes and reading material during their participation in our programmes. These are for the personal use of the students/participants only and cannot be circulated, distributed, printed, exploited, exhibited, transmitted, reproduced, broadcasted, adapted or posted in any public domain. Any such use shall amount to infringement of copyright and shall be dealt with strictly.
- Teaching material is the sole ownership of Adiyogam School and will not be shared.
- Students are not allowed to take photos or videos during classes.
SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT SHARING
- Pictures, videos or other recordings may be taken/made during trainings, workshops, retreats, or classes and used in any marketing or promotional capacities such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, other social media platforms and the company website, etc. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, trainees give full permission for these materials to be used.
- Photos and videos taken by trainees during trainings are deemed to be for learning and personal use only. Sharing this information with third parties or for financial gain without full permission of Adiyogam School is strictly prohibited.
- We respect each person’s privacy and hence if anyone has any objection to be captured in the frame, please feel free to step aside/outside of the camera frame and inform their respective coordinators.
Harassment Against Members of Protected Class
We do not permit managers, employees, teachers, independent contractors, students, or others in the workplace to harass any other person because of age, gender (including pregnancy), race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic status, genetic information, or any other basis proscribed by law.
Harassment is unwelcome verbal or non-verbal conduct, based upon a person’s protected characteristic, that (i) denigrates or shows hostility or aversion toward the person because of the characteristic and which affects their employment opportunities or benefits; (ii) has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with their work performance; (iii) enduring the offensive conduct becomes a condition of continued employment; or (iv) has the purpose or effect of creating a work environment that a reasonable person would consider intimidating, hostile, or abusive.
Harassment includes epithets, slurs, name calling, negative stereotyping, insults, intimidation, ridicule, threatening, intimidating or hostile acts, denigrating jokes, and display in the workplace of written or graphic material that denigrates or shows hostility or aversion toward an individual or group based on their protected characteristic. Petty slights, annoyances, and isolated minor incidents may not rise to the level of harassment.
Sexual Harassment in the School
We do not tolerate sexual harassment in our Adiyogam School. Sexual harassment refers to any unwelcome sexual attention, sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal, visual, or physical conduct of a sexual nature when:
(a) submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an individual’s employment;
(b) submission to or rejection of such conduct by an individual is used as the basis for employment decisions affecting such individual;
(c) such conduct has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual’s work performance; or
(d) such conduct has the purpose or effect of creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive working environment.
Examples of sexual harassment include unwanted and unnecessary physical contact; offensive remarks (including unwelcome comments about appearance); obscene jokes or other inappropriate use of sexually offensive language; the display in the studio of sexually suggestive objects or pictures; and unwelcome sexual advances by teachers, students, customers, clients, or other visitors to a studio. Non-physical gesture, behaviour, unnecessary physical contact, verbal suggestion, or innuendo may constitute sexual harassment.
General Rules and regulations in the school
- Please treat everything in the room as your own. Any damage to the room or equipment shall be charged accordingly.
- Students/participants are kindly requested to take care of their belongings. Management shall not be responsible for any loss.
- Any damage to Adiyogam School property/course material shall be charged accordingly.
- Visitors of students/participants are allowed only between 13:00 pm – 15:00 pm
- No visitors are allowed in the room.
- The room/bed is non-transferable to anyone else.
- Student/participant bears full material and legal responsibility for any loss, damages or destruction of furnishing/appliances / or any other property resulting from his/her fault or from the fault of his/her visitors.
- Children have to be under constant care and supervision of adults. Damages or losses caused by children are the responsibility of their guardians.
- No loud music is allowed on the premises.
- Entry gates of the Adiyogam school will be closed after 10:00 pm daily. No person will be allowed to enter / exit after 10:00 pm. If anyone is found outside the campus after 10:00 pm, it will be considered as a violation of the School`s discipline and laws.
- Students/participants have to enter details on the logbook while they enter/exit the Adiyogam School.
- Being in possession or consuming non-vegetarian food/alcohol/tobacco (smoking/chewing) and use of illicit drugs is STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the Adiyogam School premises.
- Residential Students are strictly not allowed to stay overnight outside the Adiyogam School.
- All lights must be turned off by 10:30 pm latest.
- No room service is provided. Every day our made will do the general cleaning duty.
- Eating in class is prohibited.
- In case of violations of the points mentioned above, management reserves the right to ask the person to penalize or leave the premises without entertaining any claim for refund.
- We are not responsible for any activities conducted outside of our premises such as rafting and swimming in rivers, sightseeing tours, bird sanctuary trips, etc. Until and unless it is mentioned in the orientation.
Changes and Amendments:
Policy Changes: Adiyogam reserves the right to change below mentioned terms and conditions, with prior notice, to best serve the needs of the course and participants.
- Undertake short-term changes in the program & structure of the Course.
- Make exceptions to the above procedure in individual cases.
- Change the price of Courses according to circumstances that are beyond our control.
- Exclude people from the Course who do not adhere to the above conditions, and who would therefore be a disturbance.
